Voilà! Thirty-one drawings in ink done this month. One a day. Better than bought vitamins. Something reminds me of Ramadan, I guess the prolonged effort, small each day, but each day renewed.
I dug these potatoes today. They are almost this colour. I have written about them previously: https://djdblogginghere.wordpress.com/2017/09/25/potatoes-and-ink/
“…no law has ever brought anyone to love, forgive, make peace, cultivate spiritual intelligence, to be free from all prejudice. Being Good through Love can only be decided upon freely by each individual. No law can give a man the will to be a man other than a political man. This destiny must be accepted by the individual, put into practice by the individual. It is a question of education, not of politics, and our mission addresses the world’s education.
If it were impossible for an individual to change on his own, believe you me, we would not be prevented from spreading the Sermon on the Mount and The Revelation of Arès, one would no longer close the doors to the media to us. They would allow us to exist, to speak to the world as one permits the Eiffel tower to exist, the Mona Lisa in the Louvre, etc., like a thousand other things whose disappearance would remove perhaps a bit of picturesque, but would not change anything of the world’s life. The censure that we endure proves that the rationalists who govern us know that man can change if he decides to change. …”
