Picture Perfect – Sayings

Madame Alfred Carrière

What’s in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.

Although words have power to hurt and to heal, they do not determine the intrinsic nature of a thing or person.  It is our acts which create and reveal our nature, a perfume we emit.

“When you are asked, ‘Which name should one bear in order to please the Lord?,’ reply, ‘It does not matter whether you are called Lentil or Goat, for if you devote your life to God, if you win renown as a penitent, pious, good man, your name will become as grand as Moses’ or Elijah’s.’”

The Revelation of Arès 36/19b

I took 16 shots of this, getting out a step ladder to climb up and trying different settings.  Strangely enough the faster speed setting was blurrier than the macro setting used here.  This photo still isn’t focused as I would like.  The sun is hiding and there is a light breeze.

About djdfr

Daily life experiences by a Franco-American woman living in the Breton countryside form the basics of this blog. Gardening, watercolour, choral music, food, are some of my interests. I seek to balance the physical, mental and spiritual. I am a free believer praying from the Bible, the Qur’an and The Revelation of Arès. In 1974, with Jesus as the messenger, and in 1977, manifesting as a stick of light, Our Creator spoke directly to a man in Arès, France, named Michel Potay. The message is in the book “The Revelation of Arès”. It is a call for us to change, to practice love, peacemaking, forgiveness, to free ourselves from all prejudice, to develop our spiritual intelligence, the intelligence of the heart.
