Blog Action Day – the Environment

This is a “sac jaune”. It is for recycling. We can get the bags for free at the town hall. In it we put paper, cardboard, cans, Tetrabrik packaging, plastic bottles except those that contained oil – all of these things in the same bag, basically clean and dry. This cuts way down on land fill and incineration. There is a day for their collection when they are put in the same place as regular garbage. If the pick-up people see that there is stuff in the bag that shouldn’t be there, they stick it in the dumpster. There is also a fenced-in place in the town in case it’s not the day – one can put the bag there. Glass is also recycled, but in a dumpster reserved for glass. Compost is in the garden.

A few simple efforts that can be made by each one that contribute to a better world.

About djdfr

Daily life experiences by a Franco-American woman living in the Breton countryside form the basics of this blog. Gardening, watercolour, choral music, food, are some of my interests. I seek to balance the physical, mental and spiritual. I am a free believer praying from the Bible, the Qur’an and The Revelation of Arès. In 1974, with Jesus as the messenger, and in 1977, manifesting as a stick of light, Our Creator spoke directly to a man in Arès, France, named Michel Potay. The message is in the book “The Revelation of Arès”. It is a call for us to change, to practice love, peacemaking, forgiveness, to free ourselves from all prejudice, to develop our spiritual intelligence, the intelligence of the heart.
