Keep On Keeping On

This photo was taken at about a forty minute walk from Santiago de Compostela. In other words, we were almost there, after about 1750 km walking. I waited a good fifteen minutes for the cloud to go in front of the sun.

In praying from the Bible (Old and New Testaments), the Qur’an, and The Revelation of Arès, it is surprising at times to see the same thing come up in several of them. Today it was the following:

Practice goodness and justice, and constantly trust in your God. Hosea 12:76

C’est par votre persévérance que vous acquerrez la vie. Luc 21:19

O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then you will meet Him. Al Qur’an “ The Cleaving“ 84:6

When I checked the King James Version for the English text of the verse in Luke, I found “In your patience possess ye your souls.” This was so different from the French, I decided to check out a few other translations.

(The Message)
Staying with it, that’s what is required. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry; you’ll be saved.

(Amplified Bible)
By your steadfastness and patient endurance you shall win the true life of your souls.

(New Living Translation)
By standing firm, you will win your souls.

(English Standard Version)
By your endurance you will gain your lives.

(Contemporary English Version)
You will be saved by being faithful to me.

(American Standard Version)
In your patience ye shall win your souls.

(Today’s New International Version)
Stand firm, and you will win life.

You get the idea, hence the title…

About djdfr

Daily life experiences by a Franco-American woman living in the Breton countryside form the basics of this blog. Gardening, watercolour, choral music, food, are some of my interests. I seek to balance the physical, mental and spiritual. I am a free believer praying from the Bible, the Qur’an and The Revelation of Arès. In 1974, with Jesus as the messenger, and in 1977, manifesting as a stick of light, Our Creator spoke directly to a man in Arès, France, named Michel Potay. The message is in the book “The Revelation of Arès”. It is a call for us to change, to practice love, peacemaking, forgiveness, to free ourselves from all prejudice, to develop our spiritual intelligence, the intelligence of the heart.
